November 13, 2008

Ok so I have not posted at all this year and did not post most of last year, so what have I been doing since February of 2007 you may ask? Well let me tell you! I will give you a general overview. Well in April 2007 I started working for the Family Medicine Clinic at the UofA Hospital, worked there for 5 months, (my job there was scanning documents, that is right folks, scanning documents for 8 hours a day), also in April there was a new edition to the family, Patrick's brother and Sister-In-Law had a bab girl her name is Sofia. Sso then in August 07 I left Family Medicine Clinic and moved over to Seniors' Clinic, were I basically did transcriptions 8 hours a day, but that was a lot better then scanning, then in October of 2007 Patrick and I went to Las Vegas, it was my first time going to Vegas, my first time on a Plane and my first time leaving Canada. Then of course came Christmas and all that stuff.

So that was a very general overview of 2007

2008
In February 2008 Patrick, me and Homa drove to Montana for 24 hours to buy groceries. Then shortly after that Patrick and I really started planning our wedding. In the beginning of May we started looking at buying house, we found one in the west end after spending a month looking at houses, it was a very nice townhouse, we decided to put an offer in on the house, and then found out when we were about to put an offer in that someone else did, so I was really upset, so our realtor sent us a new list of places for sale, and we saw another townhouse for sale in the same complex, so we viewed it, (Patrick was very sick at the time and did not really remember what it looked like), and decided to put an offer in on the house, and within the same night of us putting in the offer we bought the house. So with just 3 months till our wedding we bought the house, got a possession day of July 7, we left for Las Vegas 4 days later for a pre-wedding getaway. We moved in to the house a few days after we got back from Las Vegas. One week after moving in to our house we went to Calgary for Patrick's cousin's wedding. Then two weeks after their wedding we got married (08.08.08) It was an outdoor wedding at Patrick's parent's place in their backyard. it was 35 degrees outside so it was bloody hot out!! Let me tell you after buying a house, going on a mini-vacation, moving and getting married all within 3 months is really tiring!! And then to make it even better, between our wedding and our honeymoon I left the Seniors' Clinic and Capital Health and got a job with the UofA working for a specialist (gastroenterologist), and I love my job, my manager is actually nice and not a controlling egotistical bitch monster from hell who thinks that because I am 23 and a secretary I must be an idiot and not know a damn thing. So it is really nice working for someone who appreciates you, and the doctor I work for is fantastic and is really nice!! I love this job!!

So we went to California for our honeymoon mid September. We were in California for 10 days, hot everyday, and so much fun, we put 1000 miles on our rental car, Driving on the interstate was a lot of fun, people really know how to drive there!!

It took a while but we got our house together and it looks great, this past Tuesday we put out the christmas lights outside, it looks really good!! And I am looking forward to Christmas!
